The film did well at the box office during its first four days, earning close to ₹140.5 crore in India. Day 5 earnings for the film were Rs 25.75 crore. About the Movie

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava is a historical drama which also features Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Pradeep Rawat, Diana Penty and Neil Bhoopalam in key roles.

The movie is based on the life of Maratha king Sambhaji and is an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant. It also showcases how he fought against Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb to secure Maratha Swaraj.
