The 75-year-old rock legend was performing on July 20 when he was “overwhelmed by heat exhaustion and dehydration,” his manager, Michael Veronis, said in a statement obtained by ABC News.
Santana was taken to the emergency department at a nearby medical hospital for observation and is “doing well,” Veronis added.
Veronis said the musician’s event at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettown, Pennsylvania, on July 6, will be postponed to a later date with more details from Live Nation.
In December, the prestigious guitarist canceled all month-long events of his Las Vegas Residency at the House of Blues at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, described as an “unplanned process of the heart.” Vronis said he was doing “fantastic” at the time.
After testing positive for Covid-19, Santana announced in February that he was “doing well.”
