BYD Qin L EV Got More Than 10,000 Orders, Within a Week of the Launch
BYD Qin L EV, a mid-size sedan that is all electric, have been placed 10,089 orders in the first week of its release. In the low- to mid-range family sedan market, it has swiftly emerged as one of the most competitive electric cars. Additionally, it is the first EV in the 100,000–150,000 yuan (13,900–19,400 USD) pricing category featuring an 800V high-voltage system.
The price of the stylish new electric vehicle is only 119,800 yuan, or about $16,500. The starting price of a Tesla Model 3 in China is 235,500 yuan ($32,500), which is almost half of that amount.
The Qin L EV is a direct rival to the Model 3 (4,720 mm long, 1,848 mm wide, 1,442 mm tall, wheelbase of 2,875 mm) in China, with dimensions of 4,720 mm long, 1,880 mm wide, 1,495 mm tall, and 2,820 mm in wheelbase.
BYD’s new EV appears to be a success after only one week on the market. More than 10,000 Qin L EVs were sold in the first week, according to the business.
With two BYD Blade battery packs (46.08 kWh and 56.64 kWh), it has a CLTC range of 470 km (292 miles) and 545 km (338 miles). Additionally, according to BYD, it can rapid charge (30% to 80%) in a day.
In China, the most affordable Model 3 (RWD) has a CLTC rating of up to 634 kilometers (394 miles). The Extended Range Model 3, which costs 275,500 yuan ($38,000), can travel up to 713 kilometers (443 miles).
BYD’s “God’s Eye” smart driving technology, which includes features like remote-control parking and navigating on autopilot, is standard on the Qin L and all of its new EVs.
The interior’s 15.6-inch floating infotainment, 12-inch W-HUD, and 8.8-inch driver display screens are based on BYD’s updated design. It also comes with its high-end DiLink 100 smart cockpit system, which has DeepSeek AI integrated, 5G connectivity, voice control, and more.
Higher-end models also come with a built-in, heating and cooling small fridge. Nevertheless, the starting price for even the most costly model is only 139,800 yuan ($19,300).
