Brutalist & Queer’s Release Dates Are Set by A24 Movies
Two of A24’s next films, The Brutalist directed by Brady Corbet and Queer, the upcoming feature picture from Luca Guadagnino, have release dates set.
What is the release date of Brutalist and Queer?
Queer will debut in select cinemas on November 27, 2024, according to a new report from Deadline. Guadagnino’s most recent film is an adaptation of the same-titled novel by William S. Burroughs. It centers on Daniel Craig’s character William Lee, an American expat who becomes close friends with a young student.
In addition to Craig, Queer stars Drew Starkey, Colin Bates, Omar Apollo, Lesley Manville, Jason Schwartzman, Henry Zaga, Drew Droege, Ariel Schulman, and Ronia Ava, among others. In 2024, Guadagnino—the diligent filmmaker—will be directing yet another feature picture.
Earlier this year, Guadagnino also released the romantic sports drama Challengers. Josh O’Connor, Mike Faist, and Zendaya appeared in the picture, which received favorable reviews upon its premiere. After the Hunt, a different project that Guadagnino is working on, is scheduled for publication in 2025.
As for The Brutalist, it will open in theaters on December 20, 2024, in a limited fashion. The film stars Oscar-winner Adrien Brody as Hungarian and Jewish architect László Tóth, who moves to the United States in 1947. “Initially forced to toil in poverty, he soon wins a contract that will change the course of the next 30 years of his life,” reads the logline for the film.
Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, Joe Alwyn, Stacy Martin, Alessandro Nivola, and Isaach de Bankolé will all star in The Brutalist alongside Brody.
