Audi E, Built in China, will Debut in the Summer of 2025

When the Audi E electric car goes on sale in the summer of 2025, it won’t feature the distinctive Audi rings on its badges. With 4WD for 764 horsepower and a 100 kWh battery for 700 kilometers, this EV boasts the newest Chinese technology.

In the past, Audi had encountered a lack of enthusiasm for electric vehicles in the Chinese market. In 2022, this tendency became particularly apparent when an Audi store put up a giant banner that read, “Audi also has battery electric vehicles.” Nonetheless, it appears that the German automaker’s electric vehicles are being accepted at a similar rate.

Thus, Audi took a risk by partnering with SAIC to introduce a new brand sans the traditional four rings. The distinctive Audi moniker, which is transcribed as AUDI, was still used, nonetheless. China is the target market for this brand’s automobiles. Furthermore, they will only be constructed for and in China. The Audi E concept car, the brand’s debut model, was unveiled in November.

During road tests in China, the Audi E electric vehicle was seen donning a lot of camouflage. However, this vehicle’s overall body form and front-end appearance make it easy to identify. Its external design remains consistent with the car’s concept version that was unveiled last month. The Audi E’s front appearance features small headlamps and an air intake in the front bumper. There are air intakes on both sides of the front bumper.

The Audi E features a LiDAR sensor on the top and sloping A-pillars. Rather than using traditional side-view mirrors, the spotted vehicle uses cameras. This car has a streamlined roofline, eight-spoke rims, and concealed door handles from the side. This vehicle is either a shooting brake or a wagon. From the side, it features a slim taillight unit, a rear bumper with a noticeable diffuser, and a dynamic roof spoiler. The car’s sunroof is another feature.
