The small Mac mini model, powered by M4 CPUs, was introduced by Apple. The new Mac mini’s footprint is less than half that of the machine from the previous generation. The regular M4 processor, which has a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, is what the Mac mini comes with. A model with up to a 14-core CPU and a 20-core GPU is also available, powered by the new M4 Pro processor. Apple Intelligence, a collection of artificial intelligence characteristics, may be used on both devices.
Additionally, Apple has introduced new USB-C Mac peripherals, such as the Thunderbolt 5 Pro Cable, Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, and new Magic Keyboard variants.

What is new about the Mac mini M4?
At 5 inches by 5 inches, the Mac mini 2024 is half as big as the model from the previous generation. Apple said that a novel thermal architecture for heat dissipation and Apple Silicon’s power efficiency were responsible for this small design. With more than 50% recycled material, including 100% recycled aluminum in the casing, the new Mac mini is also the first carbon-neutral Mac.
A minimum of 16GB of unified memory is now included with the Mac mini with M4, which has a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU for performance. A more potent GPU with up to 20 cores and a CPU with up to 14 cores—10 performance cores and four efficiency cores—are features of the Mac mini with M4 Pro. The M4 Pro also supports Thunderbolt 5, which more than doubles the throughput of Thunderbolt 4 and allows data transfer rates of up to 120 Gb/s on the Mac mini.
There are multiple connectivity ports on the new Mac mini, some of which are oriented forward for easier access. The model has an audio jack on the front and two USB-C ports that support USB 3. Three Thunderbolt 4 ports and three Thunderbolt 5 ports are located on the back of the Mac mini with M4 and M4 Pro, respectively. Additionally, the new Mac mini has an HDMI port for simple TV or HDMI display connection, as well as gigabit Ethernet, which can be configured up to 10Gb Ethernet for greater networking rates. While the M4 Pro-powered Mac mini can handle up to three 6K screens at 60Hz, the M4-powered Mac mini can support up to two 6K displays and one 5K monitor.
