This summer, Allegiant Air will be offering a new route from South Bend.
The airline revealed on social media that it will be launching a new route between Knoxville, Tennessee’s McGhee Tyson Airport and South Bend International Airport.
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park may be reached from Knoxville’s airport in about thirty minutes by car.
On June 14th, flights will be available on Mondays and Fridays, according to Allegiant’s website.
Ten new flights, including the South Bend-Knoxville route, were announced by the airline for this summer. Below is a list of the remaining nine routes:
- Evansville-St. Pete/Clearwater
- St. Pete/Clearwater-McAllen
- Los Angeles-Rockford
- Los Angeles-Laredo
- Los Angeles-Rapid City
- Knoxville-Belleville
- Knoxville-Jacksonville
- Harrisburg-Jacksonville
- Sarasota/Bradenton.-Plattsburgh
A press conference on a new service announcement is scheduled for Monday morning at South Bend International Airport; however, no other information was disclosed.
