Today Acer revealed the Nitro XV282K KV, a 28-inch 4K gaming monitor with an IPS board, 144Hz revive rate, FreeSync Premium, and, remarkably, HDMI 2.1 support. This settles on it an amazing decision for gamers who need to exploit the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
The HDMI 2.1 display standard is the thing that permits the PS5 and Xbox Series X to yield 4K resolution at up to 120 fps (or 8K up to 60 fps), and is fundamental to exploit variable refresh rate (VRR).
Yet, the standard is very new and backing is still rather sparse – as of now it’s just found on a modest bunch of a year ago’s 4K gaming TVs, and basically nonexistent on gaming monitors. The Nitro XV282K KV is Acer’s first monitor to help HDMI 2.1, and one of the main gaming monitor when all is said in done to do as such.
The Nitro XV282K KV will be accessible in May with a MSRP of $899.
