Oppo K12 Plus Released: Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Chipset, 6,400mAh Battery, Features & Cost

The Oppo K12 Plus was introduced on Saturday in China. A Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 CPU, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage are included in the most recent phone. It is powered by a 6,400mAh battery that supports 80W charging and runs ColorOS 14, an operating system based on Android 14. In addition to a 16-megapixel front camera, the Oppo K12 Plus has two back cameras. The IP54-rated phone’s resistance to dust and splashes has been emphasized by the manufacturer.

Price and Availability of Oppo K12 Plus

The Oppo K12 Plus base model, which has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, starts at CNY 1,899, or about Rs. 22,600. In the meantime, the prices of the 12GB+512GB and 12GB+256GB versions are CNY 2,099 (about Rs. 25,000) and CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs. 29,800), respectively. The color options available for it are Snow Peak White (which is the translation from Chinese) and Basalt Black.

The Oppo K12 Plus is currently accepting pre-orders, and it will go on sale in China on October 15. Additionally, customers may take advantage of a current sale that reduces the cost of both 256GB storage versions by CNY 100, or around Rs. 1,200.

Features and Specifics of the Oppo K12 Plus

Out of the box, the dual-SIM (Nano+Nano) Oppo K12 Plus runs ColorOS 14, which is based on Android 14. It has a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz that is Full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,412 pixels). A Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 CPU with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM powers the phone.

The 8-megapixel ultrawide camera with an IMX355 sensor (f/2.2) captures wide angle views, while the 50-megapixel primary camera with a Sony IMX882 sensor (f/1.8) is good for still photos and videos. A 16-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture is located on the front.

Up to 512GB of internal storage can be expanded to 1TB using a MicroSD card slot on the Oppo K12 Plus. In addition to Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, 4G LTE, proximity, ambient light, accelerometer, and e-compass, it also has these other features.

The Oppo K12 Plus has a 6,400mAh battery that can be charged using an 80W SuperVOOC adaptor. The smartphone contains an infrared (IR) transmitter to control domestic appliances and an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication. It is 192g in weight, 162.5×75.3×8.37mm in size, and has an IP54 dust and splash resistant rating.
