Eye-catching Opulence Is Signaled By An Exclusive Rolls-Royce Spectre Semaphore

It’s almost time for Monterey Car Week. The world’s most elite automakers will assemble on the Californian coast for several days of celebrations to greet their ultra-wealthy clientele and present their newest performance and luxury vehicles. A week before its official presentation at The Quail on August 16, Rolls-Royce has already unveiled its most recent unique creation. With a striking yellow paint job and distinctive artwork on the hood, the Rolls-Royce Spectre Semaphore is a unique interpretation of the brand’s first electric car.

The huge and commanding bodywork of the custom Spectre is painted in Semaphore Yellow, which gives it its name. On the hood, however, Rolls-Royce has a “Marbled Paint Spill” pattern that depicts “the Golden State and its diverse environment.” This is the main draw.

The visual features a silver lacquer under multiple layers of clearcoat, making it appear as if the chrome from the domineering Pantheon grille is oozing and flowing up the hood in liquid form. Rolls-Royce says the artwork took over 160 hours to create.

The dashboard, door panels, and seats in the cabin are splattered with a mix of Lemon Yellow and Citrine Yellow, which complements the exterior’s vibrant hue. Grace White and Slate Grey finishes complement the remaining surfaces, which are further enhanced with Lemon Yellow stitching. The gauge cluster’s digital displays have also been tinted to blend in with the exterior. In addition, the cabin has silver mica particles mixed into the Cashmere Grey wood trim to give it a shimmering appearance.

This unique vehicle retains the Spectre’s twin-motor electric drivetrain, which generates a robust 577 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. Although the cost of the Spectre Semaphore hasn’t been disclosed by Rolls-Royce, it was probably a substantial commission due to its custom nature. The base price of the electric Spectre coupe is $422,750.
