2 New Triumph 400cc Bikes Will Be Released By Bajaj In India Soon

According to a report Bajaj Auto intends to launch two brand-new 400cc Triumph motorcycles in India. Due to its capabilities, the Triumph entry-level range presently consists of the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X, both of which have garnered positive feedback from customers.

One new motorcycle will be added to the 400 cc line each year, and the source indicates that two brand-new models will likely be released sooner rather than later. It is important to mention that Triumph has been working on a semi-faired cafe racer version of the Speed 400, which has been seen in testing.

With its vintage bubble fairing and many design cues from the legendary Triumph Thruxton 1200, it may be called the Thruxton 400. It will be powered by the same 399 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine featured in the current 400 cc twins and have a clip-on handlebar configuration for a more aggressive riding stance.

The engine produces 39.5 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox and is equipped with a ride-by-wire throttle system and a slipper and assist clutch as standard. Given the popularity of the class, expect the other new Triumph 400cc motorbike to be a dual-purpose adventure tourer, maybe sporting the renowned Tiger name.

Triumph and Bajaj have a very successful working relationship; in just a year, the combined sales of the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X surpassed 50,000 units, and the Triumph dealerships have grown to over 100 locations throughout 75 cities. Riding this success, they perhaps want to introduce the Tiger 400.
