The Release Date Of Steven Soderbergh’s Film Black Bag, Starring Michael Fassbender And Cate Blanchett, Has Been Announced
The date of Steven Soderbergh’s Black Bag’s release has been announced by Focus Features.
Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett are the leads in Soderbergh’s brand-new spy thriller Black Bag. David Koepp, who co-authored Michael Crichton’s Jurassic Park in 1993, created the screenplay for the movie.
When will Black Bag be available for purchase?
Focus Features’ Black Bag is scheduled to open in theaters across the United States on March 14, 2025. International distribution is handled by Universal Pictures International.
Blanchett (Tár, Borderlands), Fassbender (The Killer, X-Men: Days of Future Past), Pierce Brosnan (GoldenEye, Mamma Mia!), Regé-Jean Page (Bridgerton, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), Marisa Abela (Back to Black), Naomie Harris (Skyfall, Rampage), and Tom Burke (Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga) are additional stars in Black Bag alongside Blanchett and Fassbender.
Greg Jacobs and Casey Silver are the film’s producers.
The specifics of Black Bag’s plot are currently unknown. In London, filming got underway in May 2024.
Films directed by Soderbergh include Lies, and Videotape (1989), Kafka (1991), Out of Sight (1998), Erin Brockovich (2000), Traffic (2000), Ocean’s Eleven (2001), Solaris (2002), Ocean’s Twelve (2004, 2005), Ocean’s Thirteen (2007), and The Informant! Apart from Black Bag, Soderbergh’s next film, Presence, will be released soon. Neon bought the film after its 2024 Sundance Film Festival premiere. Presence, starring Chris Sullivan, Julia Fox, and Lucy Liu, tells the story of a family who moves into a new home only to find out they’re not alone. Koepp wrote the script for the movie Presence as well.
