Kalki 2898 AD Premise
In “Kalki 2898 AD,” by the year 2898, the world has undergone a significant change, and Kasi, a deserted city, is now the last stronghold of humanity. Kasi, ruled by the god-king Supreme Yaskin, who rules from his imposing, upside-down pyramidal stronghold known as “The Complex,” is a perfect example of a dystopian society. This epic story, which takes place between the mythical period of the Mahabharata in 3102 BC and a far-off, apocalyptic horizon, deftly combines the old wisdom of Hindu mythology with a vision of a barren future. The story revolves around the unexplained ascent of Kalki, the last Vishnu avatar, who is supposed to appear during these terrible times.
