4 New Electric SUVs Coming This Year To India: Tata To MG
Up to four new electric cars from manufacturers including Tata Motors, Mahindra, Morris Garages, and Kia are anticipated to go on sale in the remaining months of this year.
1. Tata Curvv EV:
After the recently released Punch EV, the Tata Curvv EV is anticipated to have a stated driving range of more than 500 km. It will be the second Tata model to use the Acti.ev platform. When it was first unveiled as a concept in 2022, it was going to have a digital instrument cluster, powered seats, ambient lighting, wireless charging, connection features, and an ADAS.
2. MG Cloud EV:
The Wuling Cloud EV-powered electric five-seater midsize crossover will make its Indian debut in the latter part of 2024. Despite having the stature of an MPV, it is a crossover that makes use of the structural elements made possible by its roomy interior, which is reminiscent of an MPV.
3. Kia EV9:
In the latter half of 2024 or the first quarter of 2025, Kia plans to introduce its flagship seven-seater electric SUV in India. It has a WLTP range of 541 kilometers worldwide and comes in RWD and AWD models. The SUV will be brought into the nation through the CBU route, and its exterior will be modeled after the newest Opposites United ideology. It will be loaded with features.
4. Mahindra XUV.e8:
The XUV700-based XUV.e8 is anticipated to arrive before the end of this calendar year, following the launch of the Mahindra Thar Armada in India in the upcoming months. With a 60–80 kWh battery pack, the flagship electric SUV is expected to have a driving range of more than 450 km between charges.
It will have two steering wheels instead of one, and its triple-screen setup was recently granted design patents. The XUV.e8’s equipment list will be shared with the XUV700, and the design will be identical to the previously seen idea.
