Tata Altroz Racer Gets Ready to Premiere in June. Here’s What to Anticipate
The Tata Altroz Racer is anticipated to debut in June 2024 at last. Comparing this sportier variant of Tata’s flagship hatchback to the ordinary Altroz, the former will have a more potent engine, a unique look, and better features.
The athletic aesthetics that were initially displayed at the 2023 Auto Expo will remain on the Altroz Racer. The production vehicle is anticipated to have an aggressive and stunning appearance thanks to its blacked-out roof, ORVMs, and bonnet. It will also likely have two white racing stripes running along the roof and bonnet.
The Altroz Racer will have major interior improvements. A larger 10.25-inch touchscreen entertainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be installed in the cabin. A 360-degree camera, wireless charging, voice-activated sunroof control, ventilated front seats, an air purifier, and automatic climate control are among the extra features. The leather seat upholstery and all-black concept inside will be complemented by red stitching and trim.
Under the hood, the Altroz Racer’s greatest modification over the Altrozx standard would be found. The Nexon’s 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine, which produces 120 horsepower and adds 10 bhp and 30 Nm of torque, will power the Altroz Racer, in contrast to the basic Altroz iTurbo’s 110 bhp.
With this improved capability, the Altroz Racer will be directly rivaled by the Hyundai i20 N Line, which has a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that generates 120 horsepower and 172 Nm. It is anticipated that the Altroz Racer will only be available with a 6-speed manual transmission.
It is expected that the Altroz Racer will cost more than the iTurbo, which is already priced between ₹9.20 lakh and ₹10.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
