Upgrades to the Rivian R1T for Your Upcoming Journey: The New GoFast Camper and Topper
Recently received an upgrade. A new GoFast Camper and Topper designed especially for the electric pickup will be added to Rivian’s R1T. The performance and range impact is minimized with the new R1T accessories.
New Rivian R1T Camper and Topper Designed by GoFast
Following the first model’s September 2021 rollout of assembly, the R1T was the first electric pickup to reach the US market.
The flagship R1T from Rivian is more than just an electric vehicle. This “Electric Adventure Vehicle” is designed to handle any type of road. The Rivian R1T has the ability to tow up to 11,000 pounds, rock crawl on a 100% incline, and drive through +3 feet of water.
The R1T outperforms the Ford Bronco, Jeep Wrangler, and Mercedes G-Class with up to 14.9 inches of ground clearance.
The R1T can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in as low as 3 seconds, making it a sports car.
There is more than 62 cubic feet of storage available in the R1T between the bed, center console, underseat compartments, rear storage bin, and frunk.
Rivian’s Adventure Vehicles are designed for exploration and come with extra accessories like a three-person tent. Numerous other businesses have released camper items that are specifically made to fit electric trucks, such as Basecamp from Loki Expedition and the Model T from CAMP365.
The Rivian R1T Camper is designed by the business to not interfere with any of the electric truck’s features. Currently, the four bed tie-down brackets on the rails of the R1T are being used to mount it.
Although GoFast guarantees that the tonneau and tailgate functions will be usable, the company claims it is still working on designing around other elements, such as the rear spoiler camera.
After more testing is finished, more detailed information will be made available. August is when production is anticipated to start.
This week, the business began for inaugural orders. On the GoFast website, you may reserve your Rivian R1T Camper and Topper with a one-time $100 deposit. Upon completion of the design and pricing, the business will be in touch to proceed with the next step.
GoFast will construct the Camper or Topper to fit your car after receiving your VIN. As of right now, the Camper is anticipated to cost $9,450, while the topping will cost $4,999. Additionally, there is a $300 installation charge. To get it installed, you can go to the Montana shop or one of our partners across the nation.
