Disney+ will get Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Concert Film Earlier than Anticipated: View the Latest Trailer
The Disney+ premiere of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert film is set for March 14 at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET, one day ahead of schedule. On Monday, the streamer unveiled a new trailer that also disclosed that one of the four additional acoustic tracks in the movie is “Maroon,” which is from the popular pop star’s most recent album Midnights.
The movie will also include a performance of “Cardigan,” which was noticeably omitted from the October theatrical release, as was previously reported.
The Eras Tour movie, which was directed by Sam Wrench (Billie Eilish Live At The O2, BTS Permission to Dance on Stage – Seoul: Live Viewing Film), became the highest-grossing concert film of all time when it brought in over $260 million at the worldwide box office. It was recorded during Swift’s three-night run at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
On December 13, the pop star’s birthday, the movie was made available on VOD. Bonus performances of “Wildest Dreams,” “The Archer,” and “Long Live” were included in the release.
Disney+ made the announcement last month that it will be the concert film’s exclusive streaming home. “The Eras Tour has been a true phenomenon that has and continues to thrill fans around the world, and we are very excited to bring this electrifying concert to audiences wherever they are,” Bob Iger, Disney’s chief executive officer, said in a statement.
Swift’s 2020 Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions, which includes a performance of each song from the unexpected quarantine album along with the narratives behind them, can also be found on the streamer.
The pop sensation revealed last month on stage that she would be releasing her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, on April 19 after winning the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album with Midnights.
