Dato Lim Khong Soon has been appointed as the Executive Chair (on a non-fulltime basis), while Mr. Chang Loong Lee joins as a Non-Executive Director of the Company, effective immediately.

Dato Lim Khong Soon, a distinguished Malaysian citizen, is renowned as the founder and chairman of Quantum Metal. He boasts an extensive career spanning over two decades in the precious metals industry, with a particular focus on downstream applications in precision molding, electronic components, scrap refining, jewelry, and gold-plating sectors.
Dato Lim Khong Soon‘s pioneering spirit shines through in his collaborative efforts, including the co-development of a groundbreaking gold recovery system from electronic waste in South Africa in partnership with Inochem. In continuation of our previous announcement dated September 20, 2023, Besra is pleased to confirm that Quantum Metal reaffirms its commitment to deposit US$10,000,000 into Besra’s drawdown account by the first week of October 2023. This tranche augments Quantum Metal’s total investment in Besra to a substantial US$15,000,000.
