“Blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another person— the gift of life”, says Danny Dhillon
A decision to donate your blood can save a life, or even several if your blood is separated into its components — red cells, platelets and plasma — which can be used individually for patients with specific conditions. Danny Dhillon hosted a Blood donation Camp in Chandigarh, India to motivate people to donate blood and social works.
Blood donation is a major concern to the society as donated blood is lifesaving for individuals who need it. Blood is scarce. There is a shortage to active blood donors to meet the need of increased blood demand.
“Blood donation is a divine experience”, says Danny. One unit of blood saves three lives. Donating blood may reduce the risk of heart disease and stimulate the generation of red blood cells. There is no substitute for human blood. It can be acquired only from a generous blood donor.
Indian singer/ actor Danny Dhillon recently told US Times Now in 2020 why being a donor makes him feel good. “Every second, someone in the world requires a blood transfusion, according to the World Health Organization. The benefits of donating blood include helping people injured in accidents, undergoing cancer treatment, and battling blood diseases, among other reasons. That’s why donating blood is so important for blessed humans like ourselves.”
