Only 500 of the new Heritage Edition Suzuki Jimnys will be sold, according to the company’s announcement in Australia. This one is unique since it is now based on the 5-door model, which is likewise offered for sale in India. The 5-door Jimny is referred to as the Jimny XL in Australia. Suzuki has introduced the Jimny Heritage Edition on previous occasions. The manufacturer debuted the Heritage Edition of the three-door Jimny in 2023, and only 300 of those were made. Furthermore, it sold out in a span of just two days.
Suzuki has updated the Jimny Heritage Edition’s appearance. Along with fresh decals on the sides and back, it also has red mudflaps finished on both the front and back. A unique load tray will also be included with the 4×4 SUV in addition to this. Five color schemes—White, Chiffon Ivory + Bluish Black Pearl, Jungle Green, Bluish Black Pearl, and Granite Grey Metallic—will be available for the Suzuki Jimny Heritage Edition.
The purpose of the Heritage Edition is to honor Jimny’s colorful 4×4 past from the 1970s through the 1980s and 1990s. A 1.2-liter K-Series gasoline engine with a maximum power output of 99 bhp and a peak torque output of 130 Nm powers the SUV. It is exclusively paired with a manual 5-speed gearbox. However, a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission is also available for the Jimny standard version. On the Jimny, Suzuki includes its AllGrip 4×4 technology as standard.
Many features are included with the Jimny XL, including a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, multifunction steering wheel, automatic climate control, hill-hold control, multi-information display, hill-descent control, six airbags, LED lighting, and more.
