In the upcoming years, the 4WD industry is expected to have a significant upswing in activity as automakers like Mahindra, Tata, Toyota, MG, and Jeep are ready to introduce a variety of new SUV models.
1. Mahindra Thar Roxx 4X4:
With the exception of the 4×4 models, the prices for every Mahindra Thar Roxx variant are currently available. Positioned at the top of the lineup, the 4WD Thar Roxx will only come with the 2.2L four-cylinder mHawk diesel engine. On September 14, test drives at authorized dealerships will begin. October 3 is when reservations will start, and that is also when the 4×4 variations’ costs should be revealed.
2. The Tata Harrier EV:
Tata recently made a big advancement in its lineup of electric vehicles with the introduction of the Curvv EV in India. The launch of the Harrier EV, scheduled for early 2025, will come next. Earlier this year, during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the Harrier EV in near-production was on display. It will have two electric motors that can power each wheel separately, allowing for all-wheel drive.
3. Toyota Fortuner MHEV:
Numerous foreign markets currently offer the MHEV Toyota Fortuner. This version reduces pollution, increases acceleration, and improves fuel economy by combining the current GD diesel engine with a tiny battery pack and electric motor. The Fortuner MHEV could very well be introduced in 2025, even though Toyota has not formally stated that it would launch in India.
4. MG Gloster Facelift:
JSW MG Motor India is getting ready to launch the redesigned MG Gloster before the year is over. Upgrades to the full-size SUV’s interior will include new features and cutting-edge technologies in addition to aesthetic changes.
5&6. Updated Jeep Compass & Meridian:
Jeep is getting ready to roll out mid-life improvements for the Meridian and Compass during the holidays. Although the addition of new features and visual adjustments will be the main focus of upcoming updates, major mechanical modifications are not anticipated.
