Before the year ends, the Indian auto industry is set to see a rush of new SUV introductions, and automakers are introducing brand-new models in the upcoming weeks to capitalize on the holiday season.
1. New Nissan X-Trail:
The fourth generation Nissan X-Trail will shortly go on sale, and tomorrow will mark the start of media preview drives. It will have a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine and a CVT for power. The new X-Trail will enter the nation through the CBU route after being available for purchase in foreign markets for a few years.
It will have an abundance of amenities and technological advancements, such as a digital instrument console, a 360-degree camera system, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a panoramic sunroof.
2. Tata Curvv:
Production models of the ICE and electric variants are expected to be unveiled on August 7, when Tata Motors will formally introduce the Curvv. The Curvv EV’s pricing will probably be revealed during the event, while the ICE Curvv’s availability may be delayed. The latter would have a big battery pack with a range of more than 500 km, while the former will have a new 1.5L diesel or 1.2L gasoline engine.
With the exception of a few engine variations, both midsize SUV coupes will have a similar appearance. The list of features will include a 360-degree camera, intelligent climate management, a fully digital cluster, a big touchscreen display, Level 2 ADAS, and much more.
3. 5-Door Mahindra Thar Armada:
On August 15, Mahindra will unveil the much-anticipated Mahindra Thar Armada in India. It will resemble the current three-door variant but be larger and have a roomier boot. There will be a larger infotainment screen, digital instrumentation, a sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and other more luxurious features in the cabin. There will also be a few little changes to the outside. There will be three engine options—MT, AT, and combined—for it.
