2025 Subaru BRZ Gets Better Handling And A Sport Mode
In Japan, Subaru unveiled the updated BRZ, which has many of the same modifications as the Toyota GR86 sibling. Daytime running lights, a new Sport Mode for the manual BRZ, and updated suspension and steering are among the modifications.
Since its 2021 launch, the second-generation Subaru BRZ has undergone multiple model year modifications. After adding the EyeSight ADAS package to the manual version of the sportscar last year, Subaru is now concentrating on enhancing the sportscar’s handling.
The improved electric power steering assist and damper settings, which are intended to provide quicker handling while enhancing ride comfort, are the highlights of the changes. Only the Cup Car Basic, R, and S trim levels receive the suspension modifications; the top STI Sport model keeps its STI-tuned dampers.
The inclusion of a Sport Mode button to the center console, exclusive to manual BRZ cars, is another significant upgrade. This is supposed to enhance the cabin’s Active Sound Control system’s volume and throttle response. However, the automatic gearbox has been adjusted to provide manual downshifts at higher RPM, providing the driver more control.
The addition of daytime running lights to all trims except the Cup Car Basic is the only visual alteration. With the exception of a new turn signal stalk and the Sport Mode button, the interior has also remained the same.
The revised Subaru BRZ is already on order in Japan, but it will make its public debut on July 14 at Fuji Speedway. The base-spec R with a manual gearbox costs ¥3,322,000 ($20,870), while the flagship STI Sport with an automatic costs ¥3,817,000 ($23,975). Although it lacks DRLs, the basic Cup Car Basic with the black steelies is still available for ¥3,722,400 ($23,376).
