Kia unveiled the MY 2025 EV9 with several significant modifications a little more than a week ago, and it is currently available for purchase in South Korea, where it is the company’s home market. Although the costs are the same as those of the outgoing model, additional amenities including the suede headliner, Digital Key 2, dual-tone multifunctional steering wheel, and surround view have been added as standard. The Earth costs 78.16 million KRW (Rs. 49.08 lakh), 4WD Air costs 76.85 million KRW (Rs. 48.26 lakh), 4WD Earth costs 81.69 million KRW (Rs. 51.30 lakh), and the most expensive model, the 4WD GT-Line, costs 83.97 million KRW (Rs. 52.73 lakh). The base 2WD Air is priced at 73.37 million KRW (Rs. 46.07 lakh).
In addition to the previously listed features, the Korea model comes equipped with walkaway lock functionality, parking distance warnings, collision avoidance assistance, and fabric finish on the top seatbacks. In addition, Remote Smart Parking Assist 2 and a remote 360-degree view are included with the seven-seat flagship electric SUV for 2025.
While the GT-Line remains unchanged, the Earth grade receives a 14-speaker Meridian audio system, Active Sound Design, and seats with a stripe quilting design. In addition, the 2025 Kia EV9 gets a number of optional features. Customers can now opt for the head-up display, which costs 590,000 KRW (about Rs. 37,000) and includes a monitoring package as standard.
Additionally, the Kia Digital Key 2 is now included as standard equipment in the Convenience Package. But now, instead of 1.48 million KRW (about Rs. 93,000), the bundle price is only 1.09 million KRW (roughly Rs. 68,500). October 3 is the official debut date for the Kia EV9 in India, where it will be imported in its whole.
Only the GT-Line grade with all the bells and whistles is anticipated for India. This model’s AWD setup generates 379 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque from a 99.9 kWh battery pack combined with two motors. With a top speed of 200 kmph, it can cover a range of 445 km and accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.3 seconds. The battery can be charged from 10% to 80% capacity in about 24 minutes with a 350 kW charger.
