2025 Denza D9 MPV Launches at 46,600 USD
The 2025 Denza D9, which comes in three EV and five PHEV versions and costs between 339,800 and 469,800 yuan (46,600 and 64,400 USD), was formally introduced on December 26. The new car’s configurations are primarily improved. BYD’s “God’s Eye” BAS 3.0+ advanced driving assistance system is installed across the entire series.
With the addition of a roof lidar to implement BYD’s “God’s Eye” system, which supports high-speed and city navigation assistance functions like traffic light start-stop, irregular lane line recognition, obstacle avoidance, and an automatic emergency braking speed of 120 km/h, the exterior appearance essentially stays the same. The automobile is equipped with 32 sensors in total.
The vehicle is also equipped with new 18-inch multi-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, and in addition to the Night Black, Bright White, and Elegant Blue paint options, a new color dubbed Starry Gray has been added. Included are BYD’s clever electric four-wheel drive system, iCCT (intelligent comfort control technology), and DiSus-C continuous damping control system.
The 2025 Denza D9 is 20 mm shorter than the 2024 model, with a wheelbase of 3110 mm and dimensions of 5250 mm for length, 1960 mm for width, and 1900 mm for height. According to the official, the vehicle can hold seven persons who are 1.80 meters tall, seven carry-on bags, and seven backpacks at once.
The fifth-generation DM technology from BYD is used in the PHEV variant. The 1.5T engine type BYD472ZQB has a maximum output of 115 kW (154 hp), which is 13 kW (17 hp) more than the 2024 model. While the AWD adds a 45 kW (60 hp) rear electric motor, the FWD already includes a 200 kW (268 horsepower) electric motor. In comparison to the 2024 model, the front motor’s maximum output has been increased by 30 kW (40 horsepower).
The 39.938 kWh BYD Blade LFP battery pack offers a comprehensive range of 1,100 km and 1,020 km (with full fuel and full charge) for the FWD and AWD, respectively, in addition to a CLTC pure electric range of 200 km and 190 km. The maximum speed is 190 km/h, and the fuel consumption is 5.85L/100 km.
Additionally, the EV version comes with a standard 800V platform that can recharge 243 kilometers in 15 minutes and reduce the 0% to 80% rapid charging time to 7 minutes. 620 and 600 kilometers are the two cruising ranges offered by the 103 kWh BYD Blade LFP battery pack.
The interior design is also essentially unchanged, with the following additions:

- a retainer has been added to the second-row mobile phone wireless charging slot
- the second-row seats have been upgraded to zero-gravity seats
- the third-row seats support electric adjustment
There are two color options for the interior: Beige and Golden Brown
The central control screen, LCD instrument panel, co-pilot entertainment screen, HUD, two displays behind the front seats, two screens for the second row of armrests, digital rearview mirror, and refrigerator touch screen are among the additional ten screens that the 2025 Denza D9 supports.
