Aston Martin streamlined its one SUV model, the DBX707 performance flagship, and completely redesigned the inside. The DBX707’s driving dynamics are further improved by chassis software calibration in addition to the brand-new infotainment system.
Since the Aston Martin DBX707 was released in 2022, significant visual improvements were not required. The only exterior changes for the 2025 MY are new door handles that power outwards when the vehicle is unlocked, new mirrors with integrated cameras, new finishes for the optional 23-inch forged alloy wheels (22-inch wheels come standard), and a selection of new exterior shades (Epsilon Black, Helios Yellow, Sprint Green, Malachite Green, Aura Green, and Podium Green).
Because buyers of high-end performance SUVs have high standards for technology, Aston Martin concentrated its improvements on the interior of the DBX707 model. The new entertainment system, which is also present in the DB12 and Vantage sports cars and has multiple USB-C ports and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, is the main attraction. A more contemporary 10.25-inch “Pure Black” touchscreen display replaces the outdated Mercedes-sourced system, and it is paired with a larger 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
Along with the new screens, the DBX707’s center console and dashboard have been overhauled to better align it with the rest of the Aston Martin portfolio. The business aims to prevent driver confusion by providing separate physical controls for the drive modes, gear selection, suspension, ESP, exhaust, and ADAS. With a new toggle switch replacing several buttons for the driving modes, operation is even more straightforward.
Aston Martin claims that with additional customisation options and new materials like gloss smoked oak, gloss titanium mesh, updated ziricote wood, piano black, and carbon fiber veneers, “every area of the interior has been enhanced.” The current basic equipment includes an Aston Martin 14-speaker audio system with 800 watts of power. However, an even more luxurious 23-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system with 1,600 watts is an option.
The Only Choice Is Now The Flagship DBX707
Sales data plays a role in Aston Martin’s decision to only offer one powerplant option for the DBX. According to Autocar, the DBX707 accounted for 90% of DBX sales so far in 2024, and two-thirds of DBX sales in 2023, thus rendering the other models in the lineup obsolete.
A 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine that is a carryover produces 697 horsepower (520 kW / 707 PS) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) of torque under the hood. A nine-speed automatic transmission and a rear-biased all-wheel drive system transfer power to the wheels. The Lamborghini Urus, Maserati Levante Trofeo, and Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT are among the fastest production SUVs, with a top speed of 310 km/h (193 mph) held by the DBX707 SUV.
The conventional carbon ceramic brakes and adaptive air suspension are still part of the chassis hardware, but Aston Martin engineers have tuned the air springs and electronic dampers to provide more accurate body control.
The revised DBX707 is scheduled to go into production and delivery in the second quarter of 2024. The price will be revealed closer to the product’s release.
